Espresso Cherry Tea

The ingredients are for one, but I recommend making this by the jug load. Who knew going alcohol free could be THIS delicious?


  • 40ml Italian Espresso

  • 15ml Cascara Tea (Cherry Tea - recipe below)

  • Sugar Syrup (to taste) ​​​​​​

  • 3 Cherries (normally made with dried cherries but fresh are fine) 

  • 1 Lemon Peel 

  • 1 Orange Peel 


  1. To make the Cherry Tea, Steep the cherries, lemon peel and orange peel in 100ml of water in a saucepan for 10 minutes on a low simmer, then allow to cool. 

  2. To build the mocktail: Add 15ml of the tea to 40ml of a fine Italian espresso, and sugar syrup to taste, to a cocktail shaker.

  3. Shake vigorously. 

  4. Fine strain into a chilled glass and add a slice of orange as garnish. Add ice if you wish.

  5. Enjoy!
